Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I haven't slept in about 38 hours. There's a very nice gentleman here at the Leaky Cauldron who has been giving me free coffee for a while now, so that's good. I think I might be a little excitable right now, though. The nice barman, who may or may not be called Todd (Tim?), has been hinting that he's going to cut off my caffeine supply soon. Trevor, maybe?

So, out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone who is reading this can explain what's just happened to me? I woke up, as I said, 38 hours ago, in what I think was the same field me and my folks and some friends camped out in last night, but my parents weren't there when I woke up and it wasn't buried in mud and snow when I fell asleep before, so I'm not positive about it. FYI: Waking up alone in a muddy, snowy field wearing only a pair of bell-bottoms and a tye dye t-shirt? Not fun. And, surprisingly enough, hitchiking for three hours in the afore-mentioned outfit before finding someone who is willing to drive you to the next town down the road? Even less fun. 'Fraid I had to steal a coat when I got to the town. I feel bad and all, but I'd have frozen to death if I hadn't, so I don't really feel that bad. Not a clue where my wand went, but it would have been awfully useful. Imminent frostbite counts as an emergency, right? My brain is hoping me Mum has it, but that same brain is really quite stumped about everything else that's going on, so I'm not sure how well i can trust it.

Anyway, took a while, but I eventually managed to hitch it to London and then to the Cauldron, where this nice Travis(?) fellow gave me this journal and said that somebody on here might help me out. So... yes? Help, anyone? Anyone at all, I'm not picky.

I wouldn't keep ingesting all of the coffee, eventually you'll crash either way.

Ask for what's going on, I don't know much, but as far as I've figured out, people who were previously deceased are returning to life. I don't know how or why, but it is definitely happening. The ministry isn't exactly very helpful in the matter.

You came to in a field? Now, I'd have to say my coming around to an empty, decrepit house isn't all that bad.

Yes. A cold, muddy, snowy field. In... Yorkshire, maybe? I don't precisely remember. The middle of nowhere, anyway.

And I realize that the crash is impending, but so far just having more coffee has worked quite well to hold it at bay.

And, out of curiousity, what exactly do you think a bunch of dead people have to do with me?

Possibly, I don't know where you woke up, but it sounds likely. Did it seem to look any different than you first remembered other than the mud and snow?

Eventually the crash will come completely, just beware.

I'm making an assumption that you are quite possibly one of the dead people due to the strange circumstances. I'm one of them, I fell down in what was supposed to be my son's nursery to find that it was covered in dust and practically dead. The point is, it seems that people are coming back to life, despite having passed, I don't know why or how, but that's what's happening.

Ugh. I'm exhausted. I think I'm crashing.

But... I can't fall asleep until you explain the dead thing. Because, I really don't think I'm dead. I mean, I'm moving and I can't walk through walls and I'm sleepy and everything. I really don't remember being dead. I just remember Mum and Da and the bonfire and Da making a very bad attempt at teaching me to play guitar. No dead-ness.

And how does the time-travelling factor in? Because a schoolmate of mine is talking about time-travelling and, as I look outside at the snow and I remember yesterday being July, I'm more inclined to believe that part.

Uh... I thought, maybe. Maybe I'm wrong. There's a Regulus Black in my year at school, is all. Relation of yours, possibly?

I can explain perfectly.

We're travelling in time, but it messed up everyone's ages. And some people haven't arrived yet, like Mother. But she'll come soon, I know it.
